install starts the background service. On a fresh Mac install, it also installs local voice tools and a model. Use --no-voice to turn voice off and save that choice, or --voice to retry or re-enable it. Linux and Windows installs leave voice off by default. install remembers a small set of env vars from the installing shell (TELEKIT_WORKING_DIR, harness bins, timeouts). Later reinstalls keep those unless you set them again. A normal reinstall also preserves a previous telekit voice off choice. See Voice notes.
restart reloads the running service. It refuses if the service is not loaded.
daemon status also prints getUpdates conflict: yes or no. Yes means
another consumer already polls this bot. Create a new bot with @BotFather for
this Mac user. inbox conflicting while the daemon is running is different
and expected. telekit uninstall clears the bit after the job is unloaded.
Logs: ~/.telekit/bridge.log.
init-skill installs the harness how-to skill into ~/.claude/skills/telekit/ (or OpenCode). That is separate from bot skill packs under ~/.telekit/skills/.
